How to reset WordPress password?

If you forgot your WordPress password, you could change your password in the following 3 ways. Reset.

  • Use the Lost your password link on the WordPress login page.
  • Reset password via QuickInstall
  • Reset password manually via a database with phpMyAdmin

The first method is to reset the password forgetting the link

  1. Go to your WordPress login page.
  2. On the login page, click the Lost your password link.
  3. Enter your username or email
  4. Click Get New Password, and the password reset link will be emailed to you.

The second method is to reset the password via QuickInstall.

  1. Log in to your Cpanel page.
  2. Click QuickInstall in the Software / Services section.
  3. Click My Installs at the top of the page.
  4. Select the installation whose password you want to change.
  5. Click on Reset Password.
  6. Select the username whose password you want to change from the drop-down menu and set a new password.
  7. Click the Reset Password button.

The third method is to reset the password manually.

  1. Log in to Cpanel.
  2. Click phpMyAdmin in the database.
  3. Click on the WordPress database.
  4. Click the wp_users form.
  5. From user_login, you can see the registered users, click the user whose password you want to change and click Edit.
  6. In the user_pass column, delete the text and enter the password you want.
  7. Select MD5 from the drop-down menu.
  8. Finally, click on GO.
