By following these steps and using the Loco Translate plugin, you can easily translate your Aida theme into different languages to cater to your needs and preferences.

  1. Download Loco Translate:
    • You can download the Loco Translate plugin from the WordPress repository or add it directly from your WordPress Admin Panel.
    • Go to WordPress Admin Panel > Dashboard > Plugins > Add New.
    • Search for “Loco Translate” and click on “Install Now” to install the plugin.
  2. Access Loco Translate:
    • Once the Loco Translate plugin is installed and activated, a new menu item named “Loco Translate” will appear in your dashboard.
    • Click on “Loco Translate” to access the plugin’s settings and features.
  3. Translate Your Theme:
    • In the Loco Translate menu, navigate to the “Themes” sub-menu.
    • Here, you will see a list of installed themes on your WordPress site, including your Aida theme.
    • Choose your Aida theme from the list. If you haven’t started translating it yet, you can click on “New Language” to begin the translation process.
  4. Start Translating:
    • Once you have selected your Aida theme or created a new translation language, you can start translating the theme strings.
    • Loco Translate provides a user-friendly interface where you can see the original strings and their translations side by side.
    • Simply click on a string, enter the translated text in the provided field, and save your changes.
  5. Save and Apply Translations:
    • After translating the desired strings, click on the “Save” button to save your translations.
    • Loco Translate will generate the translation files for your theme and store them in a separate folder.
    • The translated strings will now be applied to your Aida theme based on the chosen language.
